What is the Kangaroo Kids difference?
Well, we have a progressive and skillful curriculum.
What does such a ‘skillful’ curriculum look like?
When our young children at Kangaroo Kids construct a simple experiment to find out whether “sunlight is important for plant growth”, they learn to think critically by positing hypotheses, testing evidence and drawing inferences. This skill comes in handy when later in life they want to test the efficacy of a public policy or business strategy initiative. When our joeys learn how and what to buy at a fruit and vegetable market they learn not only how to use math concepts in real-life but also build understanding of basic economic principles. While doing group activities of coloring the rainbows or what will they take with them to space, children learn how to research, collaborate and communicate in professional settings. These skills we all know when built early on, transfer well to other contexts. At Kangaroo Kids we know that teaching generic problem-solving skills in the absence of content knowledge is not useful, and vice-versa. We have to prepare children for future and we need to understand well that success in the modern workplace shall require a broad range of abilities including empathy and ethics, the foundational values of a good human being. This is the Kangaroo Kids difference…and our skillful curriculum.

The world is changing. To say that in today’s world ‘CHANGE IS THE ONLY CONSTANT’ is the most appropriate statement. We as felicitators or Mentors need to prepare our young generation ready to face the challenges of this constantly changing world.
The multi dimensional curriculum at BHIS ignites the creative and critical thinking skills of the learners. The constantly evolving curriculum encourages children how to think and work towards innovation. It enables the learners to restructure their thinking and thus create new possibilities for further development.
We ensure that learners grow academically, physically and emotionally. The students at BHIS are offered many opportunities to explore their interests and create new ideas. We offer clubs, literary and cultural activities, and sports to our students to participate in. Many of our students are involved in a variety of extracurricular activities that allow them to grow at their own pace in a safe, nurturing environment.
Our list of clubs, activities and other extracurricular offerings are broadened each year in hopes to have something that interests every student. The theme based assemblies and working around one theme in clubs provides ample opportunity to think, create and challenge. The school Newsletter and magazine Rendition is a milestone that marks our growth.
The complete school team along with our involved and supportive parents wish that our learners will achieve more success and reach his/ her optimum potential.

Any fact facing us is not as important as our attitude toward it, for that determines our success or failure.
– Norman Vincent Peale
An attitude refers to a set of emotions, beliefs and behaviours toward a particular object, person, thing, or event. Attitudes are often the result of experiences and education, and can have a powerful influence over one’s behaviour.
To a positive thinker, attitude can be a stepping stone to success and to a negative thinker, it can be a stumbling block. Continuous positive education leads to positive thinking.
At Billabong, we believe in imparting life skills such as critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making through value based education that builds fundamental traits of character like honesty and integrity, compassion, persistence and responsibility so that the learners are better equipped to handle various situations and challenges of life along with academics, importance is also given to physical, emotional and mental wellbeing of the learners.
True education is training both the head and heart. It is only when the learners are aware and are able to choose wisdom over foolishness, good over bad only then the true aim of education is achieved.

“Education is a complete process that leads to the attainment of the full potential of the child.”
Billabong high works on providing positive catalytic impulses to every learner to stretch their inherent learning competencies through a self discovery process. Here the uniqueness of each child is recognized, nurtured and treasured. Our endeavor is to equip our students with life-skills to face the real world – be it planning, organizing, deciding, questioning, reasoning, analyzing, team-building, communicating effectively or dealing with challenges confidently.
We strive to develop our students as global citizens, with tolerance, respect and appreciation of diverse cultures and religions for a life-time learning experience. They should be self-motivated, independent, confident decision makers to take up leadership roles in future. We aim to establish a quality – conscious school where excellence is driven by values, success is strengthened by ethics and modernity is fortified by tradition.

“Special education refers to a range of services that can be provided in different ways and in different settings.”
Special Education programs are designed to meet the specific and unique instructional needs of each child, allowing students to be grouped homogeneously by developmental stage rather than by chronological age. This unique aspect of Special Education allows teachers to provide aid and instruction based on the students’ skill level, interest and ability rather than biological age.
There is no “one size fits all” approach to special education. It’s tailored to meet each student’s needs. Special education refers to a range of services that can be provided in different ways and in different settings.
